| December 16 | By means of this message, I would like to announce the stuff that's going on with Mentation these days. First and foremost, I would have you know that we plan to record our first demo in February 2003, entitled Circle of Perpetual Occultation! Probably featuring artwork by Kris Verwimp, it will most likely contain the five songs of which you can already find the lyrics on this site. Along with this release, a redesign of the website will accomodate the demo. And finally, full-color t-shirts will be available! So stay tuned, we are almost there... |
| November 2 | Some of you may doubt that we've actually played on a stage and in front of (alive) people. Others may even doubt that we're really an actual band. To those non-believers I can now proudly say: doubt no more! Today I submit to the site tangible proof that our claims are true in the form of one song from our performence at the Baroeg venue on July 19th. Please note that we did a horrible job that day due to various reasons (one being the excessive amounts of alcohol consumed by the drummer) and one may wish to first get dead drunk in order to try and filter out some of the countless fuck-ups. Thank you. You can find the MPEG file in the Media section, which was renamed from Gallery. This show of good faith can be considered a first step on a not-so-long road to the whole deal of a full-length CD, merchandise and more, not too far into the future. Update: Still no MP3's linked on the site, but anyone interested in hearing more can contact us at info@mentation.nl for the address of some recordings made in the rehearsal room. |

| September 12 | Yes, things are a little quiet. But we are working on big things! I won't talk too much about them, since I've just about had it with set goals that are not achieved or get delayed, but our plans still involve more gigs and studio recordings. We are currently doing our best to actually get something done in that department, but I can't give you any indication of when or where at this moment. Please be patient. |
